OGG / Vorbis / Opus transcription

OGG is a container format that holds Vorbis or Opus audio — common with open-source tools, Linux desktop recorders, and recent Android voice memo apps. WhatsApp voice notes are also Opus-encoded inside an OGG container. Audionotes accepts OGG uploads directly without requiring conversion to MP3 first. Tested with Vorbis at common bitrates (96k–256k) and Opus at 16k–96k, mono and stereo, sample rates from 8 kHz to 48 kHz. Opus's lower bitrates compress voice efficiently, which is why messaging apps prefer it — and Audionotes maintains transcription accuracy across this range. Files up to 500 MB and recordings up to 360 minutes (6 hours) per upload are supported. The transcript and AI summary appear within seconds for short clips and a few minutes for longer files. The original OGG file stays in your library, including the underlying codec metadata.
