The lossless source helps in edge cases — heavy accents, low-volume speakers, multi-mic setups — where compression artifacts would hurt accuracy. Speaker diarization, technical-vocabulary handling, and AI summarisation all work the same as for MP3 and MP4 — but you keep the unmodified WAV in your archive.
